Thursday 6 December 2018, 6.30 for 7.00pm
The Mayor’s Parlour, Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX
Just like last year, come and join us singing carols with the chamber choir from St Mary Abbots School, in the Mayor’s Parlour.
When we had this event last year, for the first time, some 85 parents and other grown-ups came to see and sing along with the 35 children in the choir, and many said that they hoped this would be a tradition. If it will be a tradition, only time will tell, but at least we’re repeating it again this year.
Music is incredibly important in this Church of England primary school, and the children learn singing from the beginning, with simple songs, chants and games. By years 5 and 6 all the children join the school’s church choir. They sing at the Albert Hall, the Cadogan Hall, Kensington Palace and Westfield, as well as at the Town Hall.
We will have a good sing of traditional carols, which we can all join in with, and they are also giving us a special performance. All this will be followed by drinks and nibbles.
Cost for members and non-members alike: £10
